What are gutter guards?

Gutter guards or gutter covers are exactly that, covers for you gutters.  The idea behind them is to keep debris out of you gutters so they won’t get clogged.

Do they really work?

Gutter guards don’t provide total protection against all the debris that can get into your gutters.  You shouldn’t install gutter guards with the thought that you will NEVER need to clean your gutters/downspouts again.  However getting gutter guards should lessen the number of times you’ll have to clean your gutters.
